Inclusive Design in Education - Breaking Down Barrier to Access

Jess Mitchell - Senior Manager, Research+Design at Inclusive Design Research Center, OCAD University, Toronto Canada

We design our experiences.  Education is no different.  All aspects of our education are designed by us, by administrators, by instructors by culture, by society.  When we begin to peel the layers away we reveal spaces for innovation, change, and a radical shifting of perspective.  Are we teaching the right way?  Are we reaching all the students?  Are assessments giving us meaningful answers?  What are we doing and why?
